People sometimes wonder what it means to buy an XL ink cartridge. Do XL ink cartridges only fit larger printers? What does XL mean on ink cartridges? Are they any more complicated to install than standard ink cartridges? And how does it benefit them to buy a more expensive cartridge? Do XL cartridges produce higher-quality print jobs?
What is the difference between high yield and standard ink cartridges? And how much ink is in each printer cartridge?
The main difference between the two is actually the amount of ink in each cartridge. Standard ink cartridge contains less ink and is, therefore, less expensive than high yield cartridge. XL or high yield cartridge contains more ink and therefore can be used to print more pages at a better value per page.
So, are XL ink cartridges worth buying? As mentioned above, XL cartridges are more expensive than standard cartridges. That said, they are also more cost-effective because the average cost per page is lower, making them a good choice for people who print frequently or who want to save money in the long run.
Is the installation process the same for an XL cartridge?
Installing an XL cartridge is no different than installing a standard cartridge. Despite the name, an XL cartridge is not any larger than a standard cartridge — it just contains more ink. It will still fit the standard ink cartridge slot in your printer and require no further steps or adjustments.
How to save more on printing?

Don’t most printers now days only take their brand ink refills? I have an Epson that takes 212 ink refills and many of the reviews I have read state that if you don’t use Epson’s refill that the printer will not work. Not sure what to believe.
I have had 3 different Epson printers and every time I have gotten anything other than their brand , it has messed up my printer and I had to buy a new one. Also even if it shows to be their brand, make sure to check compatibility. The last one I purchased showed to be their brand but turned out to not be compatible with mine and messed it up.

So both are standard ink and I was thinking to use XL black and standard colour one .
Does it gonna be ok if I put one XL black and normal standard cartridge.
Does it will work .
As the colour one is still new
Thanks
Yes you can use different sizes. They have separate slots that they fit into so the size of one doesn’t affect the size the other should be.
