I have been buying my ink from Smart Ink for about 15+ years and have never been dissatisfied. Quite the opposite, in fact! These newer printers try to outsmart aftermarket ink/toner outfits by updating their firmware (usually set to automatically update) and every time they do, they add more aftermarket ink cartridges to the list that “will not work” in their printers. After I received that auto-update (which I wasn’t even aware occurred), I could no longer use the ink I had already bought and was already using. I was like aww helz no. So, I called Smart Ink. Smart Ink was able to send me instructions on how to rollback my HP Printer settings/driver (or patch it the firmware) and voila! The cartridges worked and they kept working! So, I just bought another package of 2 Black XL and one XL of each of the 3 colors. So, 5 cartridges in all, and it was less than $40 – MUCH LESS than than a SINGLE official HP Cartridge. Smart Ink is the best! This amount typically lasts me around 6 months or more.
