Step 1: Take off the HP 63 cartridge‘s plastic protective cap. 

Step 2: To remove the protective tape, pull the pink tab to the side. 

Step 3: Insert the HP 63 XL ink cartridge into the appropriate slot and push hard until it locks. 

To prevent any problems with HP 63 XL ink, please refrain from touching the cartridge’s chip or the ink nozzles.
